Welcome Older Adults ~ Be Fit Over 60!
Staying active and creating new relationships are 2 of the key components to enjoying your later years. The Racquet Club of Concord can help you do both! We have a wide range of land and water classes to keep you fit and active. Exercise in a safe and friendly environment with certified instructors specializing in the fitness needs of older adults.
Coffee Hour: This is open to all senior members. Join us up stairs in the After-School Space for a cup of coffee and snack before or after a class. See old friends or make a few new ones! Every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 9am to 10am
Monthly Newsletters: Are made available the first week of a new month to all senior's before and after classes, during coffee hour, and are available all month long in the lobby.
Mystery Lunch: The 3rd Wednesday of each month. All the senior classes are invited to meet for lunch at an area restaurant.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Cardio Circuit: This hour workout is challenging and suitable for everyone. This class includes a warm-up,with varying intensity cardiovascular workout on 6 different pieces of equipment which may include the Kaiser weight machines,or you may choose to be a part of free weight workout,and ends with a cool-down and stretch.
Agile Up and Be Strong:This is hour workout. Flexibility and strength are key factors to staying fit and active throughout the years. This class will warm you up,then challenge your muscles to improve your daily mobility. We will then end class by working on your flexibility and balance.
Tai-Chi:Tai-Chi can be practiced by anyone at any fitness level. Long recognized as a way to stay fit and healthy. These ancient Chinese exercises unite the mind with flowing, relaxed movements. Improve balance, strength and flexibility while bringing an inner calm.
Easy Does It, Water Aerobics: Experience the benefits of exercising in water. During the first half of this class you will work in the shallow end of the pool,going through a series of strength building exercises,then you will move to the deep end of the pool for a comfortable aerobics routine. This class is open to all members and does not follow the "senior class" cancellation schedule.
Deep Water Hydro Fitness:Shoulder deep water reduces body weight by 90% easing the workload on joints and ligaments. Water also has 12 times the resistance of air and allows muscles to be exercised in all directions. Using floatation devices you will do a variety of moves such as jumping jacks, cross country skiing,lunges,water jogging,and sprinting for a great over-all aerobic workout. A prefect class for all fitness levels. This class is open to all members and does not follow the "senior class" cancellation schedule.
